We have an exciting opportunity for a junior paralegal to provide administrative and legal support to lawyers, partners and clients in our Singapore office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that all new client matters are accurately set up in the client accounting and database system, including research to satisfy due diligence requirements
- Ensuring files are kept up-to-date (including filing of emails and correspondence) when active and that files are archived once matter is concluded
- Develop a solid working knowledge of the law, legal terms, procedures and documentation
- Assisting with the creation and formatting of documents and presentations for meetings and seminars being run by the team
- Carrying out legal research and collating information
- Drafting legal documentation
- Preparing incorporation documents for offshore companies and liaising with the client in relation to company administration matters
- Assisting lawyers in providing clear, concise and technically sound practical legal advice
- Assisting with the preparation of fee estimates and quotations
- Assisting with team-specific financials and matter management, e.g. budgets, WIP, aged debt reporting
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a corporate practice and company administration area;
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills;
- Fluent in spoken and written of English and Chinese;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Good to have an undergraduate degree or legal conversion (LLB/GDL/LPC) but the degree is not essential.
