Carey Olsen confirmed as a leading sponsor of INSOL Bermuda restructuring and insolvency conference

Carey Olsen is pleased to announce its sponsorship of INSOL Bermuda, a major international restructuring and insolvency conference which is returning to the Island for the first time in eight years.

INSOL is a world-wide federation of national associations of accountants and lawyers who specialise in turnaround and insolvency. The Federation organises a number of conferences across the globe and is hosting INSOL Bermuda on 1 June 2023 at the Hamilton Princess Hotel, in association with RISA Bermuda, an INSOL member association.

Carey Olsen partner and head of the dispute resolution team in Bermuda, Keith Robinson, will chair the "Shifting East–Asia in the Spotlight" panel discussion exploring the evolving role of offshore courts in the restructuring of Hong Kong and Singapore Stock Exchange listed companies.

Carey Olsen has played a leading role in recent cases which have reformed the cross-border restructuring landscape for Bermuda companies listed on the Hong Kong and Singapore Stock Exchanges. The firm is routinely instructed by office holders, companies, ad hoc groups and syndicated lenders in difficult or contentious restructuring and insolvency matters, including those which involve complex multi-jurisdictional issues common to offshore companies such as digital asset ownership, bondholder enforcement rights, parallel Chapter 11 or Administration cases and cross-class interests in schemes of arrangement.

Keith Robinson said: "It is a great endorsement for INSOL to return to Bermuda to host one of their principal conferences. INSOL have put together a very interesting and topical programme which has attracted a number of international and local delegates and speakers.  We are very pleased to support INSOL in what promises to be an excellent event."

Further information on the event is available, here.
