Carey Olsen litigator Elliot Aron sworn in as Guernsey Advocate

Counsel in Carey Olsen's dispute resolution and litigation team, Elliot Aron, has been admitted as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey.

Having successfully completed the Guernsey Bar exams and the Certificat d’Études Juridiques Françaises et Normandes at the University of Caen, Elliot was called to the Guernsey Bar at a swearing in ceremony at the Royal Court on 9 September 2024.

Elliot advises international and local clients on a wide range of contentious matters, specialising in complex and high-value commercial and trust disputes. He is an experienced litigator in domestic and foreign courts and has worked extensively on cases with challenging international and cross-border elements.

Before joining Carey Olsen in 2018, Elliot practised as a solicitor at Macfarlanes and trained and qualified as a solicitor with Slaughter and May in 2010. He was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 2013, frequently appearing as an Advocate in both the County and High Court. Elliot was recognised by the Legal 500 for his contentious work in the UK and was recently named as a 2024 NextGen leader in the private client advisory profession by eprivateclient.

Partner and head of Carey Olsen Guernsey's dispute resolution and litigation practice, Elaine Gray, commented: "We are delighted to see Elliot qualify as an Advocate and officially congratulate him on passing the Guernsey Bar exams earlier this year. Elliot is a valued member of the team, well recognised in the litigation space for his knowledge, dedication and excellent delivery of client service."
