Carey Olsen names three new partners in BVI, Cayman and Hong Kong SAR

Carey Olsen is delighted to announce that it has promoted Elizabeth Killeen (British Virgin Islands), Denis Olarou (Cayman Islands) and Henry Tucker (Hong Kong SAR) into the partnership. The three promotions bring the total number of partners across the Carey Olsen group to 62.

Carey Olsen group managing partner Alex Ohlsson said: "Elizabeth, Denis and Henry have all made significant contributions to the firm and I am delighted to welcome them to the partnership. They become partners at a very exciting time as we continue to expand our offering, particularly in the Caribbean and in Asia where they are based."

Elizabeth has been with Carey Olsen since 2014 and has a broad range of experience in corporate, commercial and financial transactions. A specialist in BVI law, she advises on cross-border debt and equity financing, joint venture arrangements, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, aircraft and other asset financing, continuations in and out of the BVI, corporate governance, corporate reorganisations, directors' duties and voluntary liquidations.

A member of the firm's dispute resolution, litigation and insolvency practice, Denis specialises in helping clients resolve complex high-value multi-jurisdictional disputes. His broad practice spans all aspects of insolvency litigation, fraud litigation, shareholder and partnership disputes, as well as general contract and tort claims, including applications for urgent injunctive relief. Denis has also represented clients in international commercial and investment treaty arbitrations and advised on the enforcement of arbitral awards.

Henry joined Carey Olsen Bermuda in 2017 before relocating to the firm's Hong Kong SAR office in 2019 to provide on-the-ground Bermuda legal advice to Asia clients. His practice covers all aspects of offshore commercial and trust litigation with a specific focus on arbitration, enforcement and insolvency issues, including out of court administrative and regulatory disputes. He also provides non-contentious advice on unique transaction structures, internal regulatory compliance measures and matters involving cross-border enforcement and regulatory risk.
