New associate for Carey Olsen's dispute resolution team in Singapore
Litigator Nicholas Lee has joined Carey Olsen's litigation, insolvency and restructuring practice in Singapore as an associate, strengthening the firm's dispute resolution offering in Asia.
Specialising in commercial litigation, Nicholas has experience across a variety of multi-jurisdictional disputes, insolvency and company law related matters. He has also advised liquidators on creditor claims, security issues and trust law.
Prior to joining Carey Olsen, Nicholas trained under a leading arbitrator and senior counsel and clerked for international tribunals on a range of commercial and investor-state disputes under the auspices of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, and various other arbitral institutions.
James Noble, who is the head of the litigation, insolvency and restructuring department for Carey Olsen in Asia, said: "Nicholas is a wonderful addition to the team and is the firm’s fourth Singapore hire this year. His appointment reflects the firm's rapid expansion in Asia. We are thrilled to have him on board."
Carey Olsen continues to have the largest offshore litigation practice in Singapore, with the team recently credited as being 'the A-Team for offshore litigation in Singapore' by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific.
Nicholas was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2019 following completion of his law and accountancy degree from the National University of Singapore.
