Carey Olsen supports Cumulus Capital on the launch of first digital asset fund

Carey Olsen's investment funds team in Hong Kong SAR has advised Cumulus Capital (Cumulus) on the launch of its first digital asset fund – Crypto Sigma SP (the Fund), a segregated portfolio of Cumulus Digital Asset Fund SPC.
The Fund will invest in a broad basket of digital assets across global cryptocurrency markets and exchanges, both centralised and decentralised. The investment manager will base its trading decisions on data generated from artificial intelligence trading agents trained via reinforcement learning processes.
Working alongside lead counsel Tiang & Partners, the Carey Olsen team advising Cumulus on all British Virgin Islands (BVI) and Cayman Islands legal and regulatory aspects of the launch, including the formation and registration of the BVI approved manager to the Fund, was led by partner Michael Padarin, assisted by senior legal manager Eason Huang.
