Articled Clerk Training Program
As part of our commitment to supporting Caymanians in their professional development, we are recruiting talented individuals with the determination to succeed as part of a pioneering team.
Our articled clerk training program will provide you with invaluable insight and commercial experience under the leadership of our highly-regarded Cayman Islands lawyers. Candidates must have or expect to obtain a minimum of a 2:1 honours degree.
The program comprises placements or 'seats' within three practice areas, with performance reviews and appraisals scheduled at regular intervals. You will gain insight into both contentious and non-contentious areas, giving you a broad understanding of each legal discipline.
The core skills that you will be developing include:
- Advocacy and oral presentation
- Case and transaction management
- Client care and practice support
- Professional Conduct and Ethics
- Communications skills
- Interviewing and advising
Successful applicants will be paid a competitive salary and be eligible for the statutory benefits of a permanent position within our firm.

Scholarships
We offer two types of annual scholarship for local or overseas study, available to either Undergraduate or Postgraduate students.
Undergraduate Scholarship
The scholarship, up to the value to US$12,000, is available to Caymanian students at undergraduate level who are pursuing or intending to pursue a career in law

Postgraduate Scholarship/Articled Clerk Training Program
This scholarship is available to support a Cayman graduate studying for their GDL, LPC or SQE qualifications, up to the value of US$30,000.
Postgraduate Scholarship recipients will receive a place on Carey Olsen's Article Clerk Training Program upon completion of their studies.
