Sally Meggitt-Smith

Sally is a senior associate and rising member of the Carey Olsen corporate and investment funds team.

She has a diverse practice area which ranges from assisting first time managers launching venture capital funds to advising global private equity houses and hedge funds.

Sally's recent experience includes establishing crypto-based products and service providers (including ETFs, hedge funds and VASPs), launching multiple corporate and fund structures (such as JPFs, expert funds and JPUTs), supporting listed funds with their capital raising, and providing clients with legal and regulatory advice throughout a fund's life cycle.

Sally regularly provides training and insights on Jersey's regulatory frameworks to administrators, managers and boards of directors on topics spanning director duties, AML requirements and the Jersey fund regime.

Sally joined Carey Olsen in February 2022 and previously practiced in-house at a leading global asset manager in London where she specialised in corporate and commercial law. Sally studied Psychology at UCL and obtained an MSc in Human Rights from LSE before completing her law qualifications at BPP.
