Carey Olsen advises Socket Technologies Limited on $5 million investment round
Carey Olsen's fintech and digital assets team has acted as lead legal counsel for Socket Technologies Limited (Socket) on its $5 million investment round.
Socket is a protocol aimed at connecting blockchains and allows the transfer of data and assets across these chains for decentralised applications.
The funding round was led by Framework Ventures and Coinbase Ventures, the venture arm of Coinbase, and will amongst other things help Socket and Coinbase simultaneously deliver cross-chain bridging infrastructure to Coinbase products. This will result in a seamless, more efficient experience for users across different chains.
The Carey Olsen fintech and digital assets team advised on all BVI corporate, finance and regulatory aspects of the matter and was led by partner Chris Duncan with support from counsel Katrina Lindsay and associate Nyssa Christopher.
