Shuting Zhao

Shuting is an associate in the litigation, insolvency and restructuring team in Carey Olsen's Singapore office.

Shuting's primary areas of practice include commercial litigation and insolvency, with a focus on shareholder disputes and company law related matters. He has extensive experience advising and representing financial and other large institutions in connection with multi-jurisdictional and high-value disputes.

Shuting is a native speaker of Mandarin and is fluent in English.

Prior to joining Carey Olsen, Shuting was an associate at King & Wood Mallesons, where he represented large clients in the PRC courts and before arbitral institutions on a wide range of commercial disputes relating to cross-border loans and guarantees, equity investments, financial derivatives and share ownership. He also regularly advised on the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards in China.

Shuting is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and holds a PRC Certificate of Legal Profession Qualification. He was recognized by the Shenzhen Lawyers Association as the Next Generation International Lawyer of Shenzhen in 2023.
