Sophie Hancock

Sophie specialises in advising on Jersey investment funds, investment structures and regulated entities, and has a particular interest in the digital assets and fintech space. She has substantial experience in dealing with the Jersey Financial Services Commission and advising on the Jersey legal and regulatory regime in the context of funds, fund service providers, fund promoters and investment businesses in relation to a wide range of legal issues. Sophie is also experienced in drafting and negotiating fund service provider agreements and has in-house experience gained with a major local fund administrator.  

Sophie's recent transactions include restructurings of investment vehicles, the establishment of funds of various regulatory classifications with complex structures investing in a variety of asset classes and advising on a range of matters, including token issuances, digital assets vehicles and exchanges.

Sophie is an Advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey, and joined Carey Olsen in January 2006. Sophie is an alumnus of Pembroke College, Oxford University and the College of Law, London.
