Steven is an advocate and senior associate in the dispute resolution and litigation team in Guernsey, specialising in commercial litigation, trust disputes and insolvency matters.

Steven advises on a range of complex and high-value commercial cases, in addition to contentious multi-jurisdictional litigations for both domestic and international clients. Steven has experience in dealing with specialist contractual disputes and insolvency matters.

Career

Steven qualified as a solicitor and Notary Public in Scotland in 2016, where he practiced at an international firm. Steven appeared regularly in Scotland's Sheriff and Sheriff Appeal Court. Prior to that he spent two years working for the Judicial Institute of Scotland, and is a graduate of both the Universities of Aberdeen and Edinburgh.

Steven completed the Diplôme d'université Certificat d’études juridiques et Normandes in 2022 and was called to the Guernsey Bar as an Advocate of the Royal Court in September 2023.

Steven is a member of the Law Society of Scotland, ARIES and the Asset Recovery Next Gen Association.
