Knowledge Assistant (VA305)

We are seeking a Knowledge Assistant to be responsible for supporting a multi-jurisdictional Knowledge Management Team in the efficient organisation and execution of training sessions and development and maintenance of key knowledge tools and resources across the firm. 

Reporting to the Group Director of Knowledge, the Knowledge Assistant will:

  • Support logistical and administrative components of learning and development initiatives, including elements of new joiner inductions, led by the KM team
  • Provide support for KM initiatives and projects, such as:
    • Profile and organise documents and contents of knowledge bank
    • Maintain and update knowledge resources and pages on the intranet
    • Promote efficiency tools and carry out basic document automation
    • Develop eLearning modules to support learning and development
    • Prepare communications to promote new knowledge tools and resources
  • General Training and New Joiner Administration
    • Map and track learning and development and induction activities across the firm to support programme development
    • Work with HR to coordinate certain knowledge and information elements of the induction programme for new joiners
    • Support live and virtual event scheduling and set up including invitations, room bookings and remote access
    • Communicate reminders, gather materials and liaise on logistics including recording and ensure subsequent materials are stored for later retrieval and access
  • Knowledge Project Support
    • Help maintain content and ensure seamless access to the Firm's knowledge resources, subscriptions and know how collection in the knowledge bank including intranet knowledge pages
    • Support ongoing knowledge projects including working on precedent automation, intranet pages, eLearning modules, new IT tools, and evolving knowhow guidelines and best practices
    • Support promotion and communication of Knowledge tools and developments
    • Participate in regular meetings of KM team to facilitate the sharing of best practices and knowledge

Applicants will have:

  • Degree level qualification (preferred but not essential)
  • Legal qualifications (preferred but not essential)
  • Previous law firm experience in training and/or knowledge administration is essential
  • Proficiency in IT systems, especially MS Office 
  • Experience with iManage or similar DMS, intranet, eLearning tool (preferred but not essential)
