Senior HR Business Partner (VA324)

We have a new opportunity for a Senior HR Business Partner to provide strategic HR guidance and support to business leaders in the development of talent strategies, workforce planning, recruitment approaches and organisational structures in the Guernsey business.

The successful individual will be responsible for the development and delivery of people focused cultural change initiatives and employee engagement action plans to ensure expected behaviours are embedded for leaders and team members and to support future business strategies and aligned outcomes.

Reporting to the Group HR Director, the individual will lead the establishment and delivery of learning, employee development, career planning and leadership programs.

Principal duties:

  • Drive the design and execution of local Guernsey HR initiatives
  • Ensure HR processes align with business objectives
  • Coach and mentor team members to enhance performance
  • Support talent acquisition and retention strategies
  • Manage employee relations and conflict resolution
  • Monitor HR metrics and develop action plans as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all HR-related legal and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to foster a positive working environment.
  • Work with the Group Recruitment Manager to help recruitment efforts and manage talent acquisition strategies
  • Coordinate and execute training and development programs
  • Collaborate with the senior management team to align HR strategies with business goals
  • Prepare reports, documentation and relevant presentations that are required on a regular and ad hoc basis
  • Initiate and identify strategic and operational outcomes, while concurrently managing differing needs and projects across the organisation to ensure project deliverables, operational responses and efficiency savings are implemented
  • Monitor overall performance management, utilising data for key deliverables and working with the wider HR team including the Group HR Director and your peers
  • Ensure there are career paths and development available for employees to succeed and progress

Applicants will have a degree in Human Resources or a related field along with a strategic HRM or business strategy qualification and experience in a similar HR role within professional services.  Excellent knowledge of HR practices and employment legislation is essential along with strong leadership and interpersonal skills, strong strategic thinking and problem solving abilities.

This is a full time role working 35 hours a week.
