Three Carey Olsen lawyers speaking at STEP's Special Interest Group's Spotlight Sessions
Carey Olsen partner, Keith Robinson, and counsel, Ashley Fife and Claire van Overdijk, will be speaking at the annual STEP Special Interest Group Spotlight Sessions on 9 December 2022 in London.
The event will comprise of a day of specialist sessions hosted by various STEP Special Interest Groups (SIGs):
- Philanthropy advisors: How technologies are advancing in philanthropy
- Contentious trusts and estates: Trusts and access to justice in light of family and operational diversity
- Business families: Purpose, perspectives and process, resilient families and the role of the modern advisors in working with them
- Cross-border estates: New departures, succession issues for the modern family
- International client: The international client, implications of political and economic risks and uncertainties
- Mental capacity: Implications of political and economic risks and uncertainties, planning, problems and practice
- Digital assets: A case study on digital assets and fiduciary access, potential risks and liabilities for the estate practitioner and their firm
Partner Keith Robinson is speaking in the contentious trusts and estates session about access to justice in light of family and operational diversity. Counsel Ashley Fife is speaking in the international client session on the topic of risky assets: do anti Bartlett clauses ever really work? Counsel Claire van Overdijk will be chairing the mental capacity session on incapacity of business owners: planning, problems and practice.
