Shane is counsel in Carey Olsen's corporate, commercial and property law groups in the Cayman Islands. Shane advises on a range of corporate and commercial law matters, with a particular emphasis on investment funds. Shane has considerable experience advising a wide range of fund managers, from start-up managers to large institutions, on the establishment of investment fund structures in the Cayman Islands, as well as providing ongoing transactional, regulatory and compliance advice. Shane also advises on local business licensing matters and trademark and patent registrations in the Cayman Islands.

Career

Shane articled with Cox and Palmer in Nova Scotia, Canada, and joined Carey Olsen in August of 2013.

Shane obtained a Juris Doctor degree with distinction from the University of New Brunswick.

Shane was admitted as a barrister of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia at the beginning of June of 2013 and admitted as an Attorney-At-Law of the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands at the end of June, 2013.
