Two aspiring lawyers join Carey Olsen's Articled Clerk Training Program
Aspiring lawyers Charlotte Crang and Kayleigh Mascarenhas have joined the firm's Articled Clerk Training Program in the Cayman Islands.
Carey Olsen's Articled Clerk Training Program launched in 2021 and provides candidates with invaluable insight, commercial experience, and the training necessary to succeed in a career as an attorney. Each clerk undertakes a minimum of three practice area placements over an eighteen-month period, after which they will be eligible to be admitted as an attorney-at-law in the Cayman Islands.
Charlotte joined Carey Olsen in 2021 as a paralegal in the firm's corporate team when she moved to the Cayman Islands. She achieved a Bachelor of Arts from King's College London and her Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and Legal Practice Course (LPC) from BPP University.
Kayleigh graduated from Brock University in Ontario, Canada before moving to the UK to pursue a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Kent. Kayleigh then completed the LPC at BPP University before returning to the Cayman Islands.
Partner and training committee member Richard Munden said: "Since its launch in 2021, our Cayman Islands Articled Clerk Training Program has been a great success and we are pleased that two more of our scholarship students are starting Articles. Developing local talent is a priority for us and we are delighted to see Charlotte and Kayleigh launch their legal careers with the firm".
