Managing Director (VA400)

We are seeking to recruit a Managing Director to establish, lead and oversee all aspects of our Guernsey corporate services business. 

This individual will be instrumental in driving growth, ensuring service excellence, and maintaining compliance with local and international standards. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Developing and executing the group's overall strategic plan to achieve business objectives and drive growth and sustainable profit, working alongside our international law firm and corporate services businesses in the British Virgin Islands, Bermuda and Cayman Islands. 
• Lead, motivate and develop a high performing team, fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, excellent, innovation and continuous improvement. 
• Oversee the financial performance of the business, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting. 
• Provide strategic direction and oversight to all operational functions, including corporate administration, compliance and risk management. 
• Manage key client relationships, with a focus on delivering outstanding service and value, while identifying opportunities for expanding services and enhancing client engagement. 

Role requirements: 

• Hold a university degree and/or relevant professional qualification (eg Corporate Governance Institute / Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators).
• A minimum of 15 years' experience in a leadership role within the corporate services sector, with a strong track record preferably in the Channel Islands market. 
• In-depth knowledge of corporate services, governance and regulatory environments and financial regulations. 
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans that drive growth, operational excellence, and achieve financial targets. 
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring confidence and building relationships across of levels of the group and external parties. 
• Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex problems.
